Finance Manager
About the role
The Finance Manager will play a key role in overseeing the organization's financial operations, budgeting, reporting, compliance, and financial planning. Working closely with executive leadership and an external finance team, this position helps ensure accurate financial reporting, sound fiscal management, and regulatory compliance while supporting the organization's mission of empowering individuals to live fulfilling and independent lives.
Responsibilities
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial reporting for multiple nonprofit entities
- Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and analyses for executive leadership and the Board
- Partner with an external finance team to support monthly close, reconciliations, and financial statement accuracy
- Maintain internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance with nonprofit accounting standards
- Support long-term financial planning and organizational decision-making
Requirements
- Experience managing financial operations within a nonprofit, healthcare, human services, or related organization
- Knowledge of nonprofit accounting, grants management, restricted funds, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Experience with audits, internal controls, and financial compliance
- Experience with multi-entity organizations or complex funding structures is a plus
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency with accounting and financial reporting systems
Qualifications
Competitive salary of $90,000–$100,000 annually, depending on experience
