About the role

As a co-chair of the Finance practice group and hiring partner, Dario Avram highlights that associates in the Finance group have the opportunity to work on complex and fast-paced financing transactions, collaborating with a diverse group of smart and collaborative colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Represent banks, other institutional lenders, and borrowers in secured lending transactions
  • Demonstrate experience with leveraged finance, though other commercial lending experience is also considered
  • Skilled in drafting, editing, and reviewing loan documents, including loan agreements, security documentation, intercreditor agreements, commitment papers, and closing documentation
  • Communicate complex matters clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, and deliver excellent client service
  • Show initiative, possess a strong work ethic, team player attitude, and an action-oriented interest in increasing transaction responsibilities
  • Demonstrate high initiative, strong interpersonal skills, and client relationship skills

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of law firm experience, primarily representing banks, other institutional lenders, and borrowers in secured lending transactions
  • Preference given to candidates with specific experience in leveraged lending, syndicated lending, and sponsor finance

Qualifications

  • Admitted to the state bar in which you are practicing or eligible to waive in

  • Strong business sense
  • Effective management of internal and external client and counsel relationships
  • Clear and concise communication, both orally and in writing
  • High initiative and strong interpersonal skills

The range displayed is specifically for positions performed in these cities/states and may vary based on factors including but not limited to the following: market data and ranges; an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience (including class year); and certain degrees, licensing, and certifications.

  • Boston, MA annual salary range: $260,000 to $390,000
  • Denver, CO annual salary range: $260,000 to $390,000
  • New York, NY annual salary range: $260,000 to $390,000
