Finance Assistant

Smartly Technologies is adding a Finance Assistant to its team supporting managed IT, cybersecurity, cloud services, software and web delivery, technical support, systems, data, projects, and customer service.

About the role

The Finance Assistant will support routine financial records, reconciliations, reporting, and finance administration. This opening is full time, fully remote, and open to candidates throughout the United States.

Responsibilities

• Enter and organize approved financial transactions, invoices, receipts, expense records, or supporting documents.
• Assist with account reconciliations and investigate routine discrepancies under established procedures.
• Maintain organized finance files, schedules, trackers, and supporting documentation across managed IT and technical delivery.
• Prepare recurring financial summaries, payment status reports, or spreadsheet updates for the team.
• Coordinate routine finance questions or missing documentation with the appropriate internal team.
• Protect confidential banking, customer, vendor, and company financial information.

Requirements

• Strong numerical accuracy, spreadsheet, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Basic understanding of bookkeeping, invoices, expenses, payments, or reconciliations.
• Comfort using accounting or finance systems, spreadsheets, and shared documents.
• Clear written communication and reliable follow-through on missing information.
• High discretion when handling financial records.
• A pre-employment background check and, where applicable to this position and permitted by law, credit screening are required.

Pay

$53,500 - $61,000 per year
