Finance Assistant

About the Role

JAK Travel Agency is seeking a Finance Assistant for hands-on work centered on financial record integrity and the day-to-day demands of custom cruises, tours, destination celebrations, groups, reservations, and traveler follow-through. The role focuses on finance assistance within group travel operations, with decisions grounded in current records rather than memory or guesswork.

Strong performance shows up in fewer avoidable corrections, timely follow-through, and records that make the next action obvious.

Responsibilities

• Review unresolved financial exceptions to track the Finance Assistant workflow.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation to support the Finance Assistant workflow.
• Protect confidential account information as part of the Finance Assistant workflow.
• Review financial inputs against supporting records to ensure accuracy.
• Reconcile discrepancies before reporting or processing.

Qualifications

• Use cross-functional coordination and financial analysis confidently in finance assistance within group travel operations.
• Apply finance assistance without losing track of exceptions, owners, or deadlines.
• Document financial control decisions clearly so another teammate can follow the reasoning.
• Use sound judgment around record maintenance, especially when escalation is required instead of assumption.

Pay

Base salary: $45,000–$65,000 per year.

Schedule

Full-time, 100% remote within the United States.
