About the role
This position provides financial support services for the Service Extension (SE) department and its various service locations, focusing on facilities, personnel, billing, and invoice payments. The individual serves as a liaison between SE and the Finance Department at DHQ, adhering to Salvation Army policies, practices, and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main liaison between Service Extension Dept. and the Finance Dept.
- Receive & document all bills from SE locations ensuring they are properly recorded and sent to Finance Dept for payment
- Manage & record invoices from SE Dept to be properly paid
- Submit monthly SE budget updates to the Divisional Director of Field Development and Service Extension
- Aid in managing/reporting volunteer county budgets in SE
- Aid in managing 360Life Center, Red Shield Center, and Thrift Store financials
- Pursue & manage grants for the department, working with Social Ministries to ensure grants are properly written and submitted before necessary deadlines
- Serve as Compliance and Training Coordinator for the department
- Assist the Divisional Director of Field Development and Service Extension with duties during staff time off
- Aid department volunteers in performing tasks including, but not limited to, seasonal programs, funding drives, communications
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Divisional Director of Field Development and Service Extension
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, management, communications, and/or finance preferred; relevant experience in lieu of degree will be considered
- Experience: Business and/or administration, project management, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; volunteer management and team organization preferred; grant writing preferred; donor management software preferred.

- Manage and prioritize multiple projects in an organized and efficient manner
- Respond to urgent matters in a calm and effective manner
- Complete reports on schedule
- Maintain confidentiality

- Maintain regular and punctual work attendance
