  • Achieve national sales, launch, and business performance objectives.
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and lead a high-performing team of Regional Sales Directors, creating a culture of accountability, execution excellence, and launch urgency.
  • Provide strategic leadership, in-field coaching, and operational direction to Regional Sales Directors to maximize regional performance and customer impact.
  • Translate national brand strategy into actionable field execution plans and ensure consistent implementation across all regions and customer segments.
  • Shape go-to-market strategies that integrate field execution with customer and market dynamics, driving access, pull-through, and measurable commercial impact.
  • Optimize regional priorities and national strategies by leveraging external insights, enterprise-wide perspective, and data-driven decision-making to deliver growth and advance organizational objectives.
  • Lead national launch execution across awareness, demand generation, access, utilization, and sales objectives.
  • Monitor business performance, leverage data and customer insights, and rapidly adjust execution plans to address opportunities, risks, and changing market dynamics.
  • Direct business planning, resource allocation, performance measurement, and KPI management to optimize field effectiveness and launch outcomes.
  • Manage field investments, resource allocation, and performance trade-offs with strong business and financial acumen to align resources with commercial goals and drive enterprise value.
  • Ensure excellence in strategic account engagement, resulting in access wins, formulary adoption, protocol inclusion, and sustained product utilization.
  • Partner across Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Training, Commercial Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Analytics to deliver coordinated launch execution and enterprise alignment.
  • Represent the voice of the field in strategic decision-making, drive organizational change, champion innovation, and uphold the highest standards of ethics, compliance, and patient focus.
  • Lead transformative change and innovation, including strategic use of AI, data, and digital tools to improve field effectiveness, customer engagement, ROI, and competitive advantage.
  • Model GSK values and ensure the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and compliance.

Requirements

We are looking for professionals with the following required skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum 10 years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare commercial experience.
  • Experience in Anti-Infectives and/or Hospital Specialty and/or Urology.
  • Second-line or national field leadership experience.
  • Product launch leadership experience with accountability for launch results.
  • Experience leading account management strategies across complex customer types, including specialty, retail, consumer, hospital, IDN, academic medical center, or large group practice environments.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
  • Ability to travel domestically, including overnight travel.

Preferred Qualification

  • MBA or advanced business, healthcare, or scientific degree preferred.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, competitive environment.
  • Demonstrated deep understanding of the US healthcare market, including provider behavior, payer dynamics, access considerations, and evolving healthcare trends.
  • Proven success shaping go-to-market strategies, translating national brand priorities into field execution, and delivering measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience across one additional commercial function (e.g., market access, operations, marketing).
  • Experience managing commercial plans, investments, and performance measures to achieve maximum ROI and enterprise value.
  • Significant experience outside sales, such as marketing, market access, strategy, analytics, operations, finance, or forecasting, strengthening enterprise collaboration and commercial breadth.
  • Experience partnering with Market Access, Organized Provider Accounts, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Analytics, Training, and Commercial Operations.
  • Meaningful experience outside sales, such as marketing, market access, strategy, analytics, operations, finance, or forecasting, strengthening enterprise collaboration and commercial breadth.
  • Experience building and scaling teams during launch readiness and commercialization phases.
  • Proven ability to attract, develop, and retain senior commercial talent, manage underperformance, provide actionable feedback, and build followership beyond direct span of control.
  • Well-developed financial and commercial acumen.
  • Executive presence and platform skills, with the ability to inspire audiences, convey complex ideas clearly, anticipate challenges, and secure senior stakeholder alignment.
  • Proven track record of delivering sales performance in specialty, hospital, account-based, or complex healthcare markets.
  • Superior motivator, communicator, team builder, and leader.
  • Competitive mindset; feels driven to conquer uncharted territory.
