About the role
At EquipmentShare, we're hiring a Field Technician (Mechanic) at our Advanced Solutions rental facility in Farmington, NM. This role involves using our tech to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track machine service intervals, order parts, and diagnose issues faster. The position requires travel to customer job sites for preventive maintenance and repairs of various equipment including pump, power, and HVAC systems.
Responsibilities
- Create, assign, and monitor work orders
- Track machine service intervals
- Order parts
- Diagnose equipment issues using real-time data
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs at customer sites
- Handle repairs independently or with other technicians
- Train lower-level technicians as needed
- Maintain paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed
- Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts
- Stay updated on OSHA requirements (preferred)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
- Experience with power generators, commercial HVAC equipment, and related maintenance
- Customer service, teamwork, and strong communication skills
- EPA 608 certification (preferred, obtainable within 6-12 months)
- High school diploma or trade school certificate
- Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- At least 21 years old to operate company vehicles
Qualifications
- Physical ability to move, stand, stoop, and bend
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Clean-shaven face for certain customer sites (if required)
Skills
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and tool proficiency
- Experience with power generators and HVAC systems
- Strong customer service and teamwork skills
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
- OSHA compliance (preferred)

Pay
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour, plus overtime pay after 40 hours per week.
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential for on-call scheduling and additional compensation.
