Field Technician (Mechanic) (Pump, Power & HVAC)

Primary Responsibilities
- Create, assign, and monitor work orders
- Track machine service intervals
- Order parts
- Diagnose issues using data from hundreds of makes and models
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and oil free air compressors
- Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations
- Operate and set up equipment at the shop and on customer sites
- Aid in the training of lower level technicians
- Maintain paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed
- Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts
Qualifications
- High School diploma or Trade school certificate
- Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
- Experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment
- Experience with calculations of nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, and reading schematics
- Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- At least 21 years old to operate company vehicle
- Physical ability to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Clean shaven for certain customer sites (if required)
