Field Technician (Mechanic) (Pump, Power & HVAC)

About the role

At EquipmentShare, we're hiring a Field Technician (Mechanic) at our Advanced Solutions rental facility in Conyers, GA. This role involves using our tech to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track machine service intervals, order parts, and diagnose issues faster. The position requires travel to customer job sites for preventive maintenance and repairs of various equipment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Create, assign, and monitor work orders for equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Track machine service intervals and order necessary parts.
• Diagnose equipment issues using real-time data from hundreds of makes and models.
• Practice safe job practices and use technology comfortably.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures both at the shop and on customer sites.
• Work individually or with other technicians to set up and operate equipment.
• Aid in the training of lower-level technicians.
• Maintain paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed.
• Absorb and deliver equipment and parts.
• Stay knowledgeable about OSHA requirements (preferred).
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or trade school certificate preferred.
• Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Experience with power generators, commercial HVAC equipment, and related maintenance.
• Ability to calculate nominal and effective tonnage and read schematics.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
• EPA 608 certification (preferred, obtainable within 6-12 months of employment).
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• At least 21 years old to operate company vehicles.
• Physical ability to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely, and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Clean-shaven appearance for certain customer sites (if required).
• Pass a 10-panel drug screen and maintain a clean driving record.
