Maintain, Trouble Shoot, and Repair of Class 8 Trucks, Semi-Trailers, Tractors, and Irrigation Equipment
- Maintaining and repairing trucks and equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot/diagnose malfunctioning equipment.
- Performing repairs based on estimated time.
- Performing welding on equipment to complete needed repairs.
- Basic electrical knowledge for 12-volt electrical systems.
- Ability to perform work on hydraulics for equipment.
- Using hand tools and power tools to make adjustments to equipment.
- Able to communicate effectively and work with multiple departments across multiple facilities.
- Maintain a high level of organization.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Shift work.
Pay
$28.75 - $31.95 per hour depending on experience

Duties
- Maintaining and repairing trucks and equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot/diagnose malfunctioning equipment.
- Performing repairs based on estimated time.

Skills And Qualifications
- GED or HS diploma.
- Current Washington Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
- 2 years' experience as a mechanic or a 2-year formal degree in maintenance mechanics.
- Knowledge in the following: Air brake systems, suspension systems, servicing and adjusting brakes, axle bearings and seals.
- Able to obtain forklift certification.
- Able to work independently and as a team to meet established deadlines.
- Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attendance record.
- Class A endorsement and Medical Card preferred.
- Current Flaggers Card preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Strength- Lift 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Stand/Walk- Stand and walk a maximum of 3 hours prior to each break period.
- Climb/Balance- Ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding and the alike using the feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
- Maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on a narrow or slippery surface.
- Reach- Extend both hands and arms in any direction.
- Handle- Seize, hold, grasp, turn or otherwise work with the hands.
- See- Obtain impressions through the eyes of the shape, size, distance, motion, color, or other characteristic of objects.
- Twist and Turn- Able to twist/turn trunk of body from side to side.
- Stoop- Bend the body downward and forward by bending the spine at the waist.
- Kneel- Bend the legs at the knees to come to rest on the knee or knees.
- Crouch- Bend the body downward and forward bending the spine and legs.
