Heritage Industries, a leader in the work truck and equipment industry, is seeking a Field Service Truck Specialist to perform field service calls and repairs to client work trucks and equipment. Strong communication skills, customer relations, diagnostic/troubleshooting, and repair skills are required, along with the ability to take ownership of client issues from start to finish. An excellent driving record is required.
Responsibilities
- Understand and adhere to personal responsibility for safety and work safely at all times.
- Adhere to all company safety programs and policies and enhance the safety culture of the company.
- Perform services and repairs in the field on various makes/models of equipment, including Heritage, IMT, Stellar, Miller, Mi-T-M, Boss, etc.
- Comply with all DOT regulations.
- Willing to work out of town, overtime, and weekends if necessary.
- Maintain field service vehicle and all company-provided equipment.
- Order and return parts as necessary for each job performed.
- Schedule and maintain workload as necessary.
- Maintain and complete daily reports, paperwork, inspections, and timecards.
- Willing to obtain certifications: MSHA, CDL, crane inspector certificate, air tank inspector certificate.
- Work as a team, communicate effectively, and take ownership of assigned areas and tasks.
- Take ownership of client problems and provide solutions.
- Consistently deliver a world-class customer experience.
Requirements
- Must have and maintain a clean MVR (no more than 1 moving violation under the age of 25, and no more than 2 if over the age of 25).
- Must be safety conscious with an excellent safety record.
- Must use TRACK in all aspects of every job.
- Strong working knowledge of truck equipment: hydraulics, electrical, pneumatics.
- Willingness to learn troubleshooting skills from other journeyman mechanics and utilize tech support as necessary.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Demonstrate excellent work ethic with self-motivation, ability to work safely with minimal supervision on customer job sites while maintaining expectations of thoroughness.
- Positive team-first attitude.
- Must have or be able to obtain all tools required for field service repair.
- Willing and able to work overtime and possibly weekends if necessary.
- Ability and willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing environments.
- Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Experience within the work truck industry, automotive, and/or truck equipment upfit, service, and repairs.
- Experience with field service and in-shop service operations.
- Fluency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Current MSHA certification.
- Associate degree or Technical Degree in automotive or diesel mechanics.
Travel Requirements
Call outs on a regular basis both locally and throughout the states of Utah, Arizona, Wyoming, Nevada, and Idaho.
