About the role

Yancey Bros. Co., established in 1914, serves as the authorized Caterpillar equipment dealer for Georgia, focusing on sales, parts, and service for various Caterpillar equipment, including heavy and compact construction equipment and on-highway trucks.

Responsibilities

  • Works in a neat and orderly manner, maintaining a safe work environment and a constant focus on completing tasks safely.
  • Proficiently and accurately performs maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs on school buses and Cummins engines.
  • Applies specific failure analysis techniques and procedures to determine root causes of failures and communicates findings to customers and office personnel.
  • Cares for and maintains customer machines/equipment to the highest standards and ensures co-workers do the same.
  • Writes full reports on findings from field service events, providing clear, concise information.
  • Communicates effectively and professionally with customers regarding the status of their maintenance and/or repairs.
  • Willing to work overtime as required and available for after-hours calls as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years old or older.
  • Valid, active driver’s license.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to clear driver screenings and provide necessary information for a complete DQ file, including but not limited to: Road Test, Background check, MVR, DOT Physical, Drug Screen.
  • Able to work with very little supervision.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Software.
  • High level of responsiveness and a strong proactive attitude to problem-solving.
  • Committed to quality and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Skills

  • Technical Degree or Certification preferred.
  • CDL is preferred but not required.
