Field Service Tech II

Higher-level role performing and assisting with major component exchanges for wind turbines. Work independently to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain wind turbine systems with a focus on safety and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in major component exchanges including gearboxes, generators, and nacelle components.
• Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostics on turbine systems.
• Perform detailed inspections and preventative maintenance on wind turbines.
• Lead small teams or mentor Field Service Technician Is on jobsites.
• Ensure all service work is completed on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of safety.
• Maintain accurate and detailed service records, including part usage and job performance.
• Participate in regular safety briefings and uphold a strong safety culture at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent; specialized training in wind turbine technology or related field preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in wind turbine maintenance or a related field.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing wind turbine systems.
• Strong teamwork, leadership, and communication skills.
• Required to travel to different jobsites on limited notice.
• Proven ability to work in a safety-first environment with proactive safety behaviors.
• Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety, aligning with the company’s Zero Injury principles.

Working Environment

• Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions.
• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and extreme heat.
• Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
• Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Pay

$27.00 - $31.00 hourly, commensurate with experience.
