Field Service Tech I
About the role
As a Field Service Technician you will maintain and service IGT equipment at Retailer (customer) locations. You will respond to dispatches, drive to customer sites within a designated “zone,” deliver supplies, and install, remove, or repair lottery equipment and communication devices.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, install, remove, convert, configure, and maintain IGT and multi-vendor gaming equipment to ensure continuous operation.
- Perform preventive maintenance, basic component replacement, cleaning, adjustments, program upgrades, downloads, and equipment setup.
- Test equipment and game functionality, including input/output systems, devices, pay tables, reel strips, and bonus awards.
- Install and maintain communication infrastructure, including data lines and fiber-optic connections.
- Transport and maintain equipment, replacement parts, tools, supplies, and consumable inventory in an organized manner.
- Support technical projects, installations, expansions, and other field activities as assigned.
- Accurately document service calls, repairs, maintenance activities, equipment issues, arrival and departure times, and resolutions.
- Communicate effectively with Dispatch, technical teams, coworkers, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Provide customers and internal teams with basic training and guidance on equipment operation, procedures, and new products.
- Follow all company documentation, safety requirements, policies, procedures, vehicle guidelines, and escalation processes while working with minimal supervision.
- Maintain a professional and positive image of IGT when interacting with coworkers and customers.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical and customer service experience is preferred.
- Must be computer literate.
- Ability, flexibility, and willingness to work varied shifts and overtime.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and customer service ability.
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and ability to correctly perceive colors.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to climb a ladder, lift 50 pounds, and walk a full 8.5-hour shift.
- Must be able to sit and drive for prolonged periods, demonstrate dexterity when working with tools, and work with moving parts and electrical current.
- May work at heights (rooftop) for equipment installation, in close quarters, and/or be exposed to inclement weather during some installations.

Pay
IGT considers a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including skills, experience, education, and geographic location. The estimated starting compensation range for this role is based on a good-faith assessment at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary.
