Field Service Specialist
About the role
Join our team as a Field Service Specialist in our Paper Machine Wet End group. You'll be part of our NA Services team, playing a crucial role in supporting our customers’ operations by ensuring their equipment runs at optimum levels. Work with cutting-edge technology and tools to support large-scale papermaking equipment at customer facilities across North America. Opportunities may include overseas travel to support targeted projects, participate in machine start-ups, or assist in testing customer equipment.
Day-to-day responsibilities may involve traveling to customer sites for hands-on support or providing remote troubleshooting from our offices. You may also support colleagues in the field while preparing for your own service calls. Our goal is to deliver the highest level of commitment and service to move our customers’ production and performance forward.
Responsibilities
- Deliver critical hands-on support at customer sites across North America
- Provide remote troubleshooting assistance from our offices
- Support field colleagues while researching and preparing for service calls
- Participate in machine start-ups and equipment testing
- Travel overseas for targeted projects as needed
Requirements
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude; hydraulic and pneumatic background a plus
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Strong PC skills
- Self-motivated with a passion for learning new things
- Ability to travel 50-80% of the time, including overnight travel
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
