Field Service Engineer II
About the role
Bio-Rad is seeking a Field Service Engineer to perform repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance on Clinical Diagnostic instruments for customers in hospitals and laboratories based out of the West Palm Beach, FL area. The position involves travel to assist other team members within the region.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance on Bio-Rad’s instruments to ensure quality performance for customers.
- Support and maintain Bio-Rad’s instruments, which customers rely on for scientific breakthroughs in healthcare research and treatments.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with customers to anticipate and advocate for their needs.
- Adhere to FDA and GMP regulations, maintaining detailed records and service documentation to protect Bio-Rad’s integrity and reputation.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of transferable field service experience servicing electro-mechanical/electronic/optical/robotics equipment.
- A.S. or B.S. in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering (or a related field or military equivalent experience).
- Ability to read, understand, and follow medium to highly complex work instructions.
- Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Strong computer skills and fundamental knowledge of computer networking.
- Strong customer relation and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Flexibility and enthusiasm for daily travel.
Qualifications
- Education/Work Experience: At least 3 years of transferable field service experience servicing electro-mechanical/electronic/optical/robotics equipment and an A.S. or B.S. in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering (or a related field or military equivalent experience).
- Ability to read, understand and successfully follow medium to highly complex work instructions.

- Strong computer skills and fundamental knowledge of computer networking.
- Strong customer relation and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Flexibility and enthusiasm for daily travel.
Skills

Pay
The estimated base salary range for this position is $64,900 to $89,200 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
Schedule
This position covers the Fort Lauderdale, FL/Palm Beach area. The individual must live within a geography that allows them to visit customers on-site on a daily basis.
