Field Service Engineer

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems
• Commission new equipment and train customers
• Document technical issues and corrective actions
• Collaborate with engineering and service teams to resolve complex equipment challenges
• Create service reports, documentation, reach out to customers, and follow up with customers when not traveling

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and plumbing/piping diagrams
• Experience using multimeters, amp probes, and other diagnostic tools
• Ability to adjust PLCs and VFDs and troubleshoot process control systems (only troubleshooting and editing, no programming)
• Customer-facing professionalism

Essential Skills

• Field service experience with industrial equipment
• Experience with heat-treating, furnace, combustion, or thermal processing equipment
• Previous customer-facing technical support or service experience
• Experience with ovens or any heating equipment
• Quality controls/testing experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to adjust PLCs and VFDs and troubleshoot process control systems (only troubleshooting and editing, no programming)
• Customer-facing professionalism

Work Environment

• Training will be conducted on-site in Michigan
• Average of 50 hours per week, can go up to 60 hours at times
• Paid travel time from home to the job site

Pay And Benefits

• The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
