Field Service Engineer

Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems
- Commission new equipment and train customers
- Document technical issues and corrective actions
- Collaborate with engineering and service teams to resolve complex equipment challenges
- Create service reports, documentation, reach out to customers, and follow up with customers when not traveling
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and plumbing/piping diagrams
- Experience using multimeters, amp probes, and other diagnostic tools
- Ability to adjust PLCs and VFDs and troubleshoot process control systems (only troubleshooting and editing, no programming)
- Customer-facing professionalism
Essential Skills
- Field service experience with industrial equipment
- Experience with heat-treating, furnace, combustion, or thermal processing equipment
- Previous customer-facing technical support or service experience
- Experience with ovens or any heating equipment
- Quality controls/testing experience
Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Customer-facing professionalism
Work Environment
- Training will be conducted on-site in Michigan
- Average of 50 hours per week, can go up to 60 hours at times
- Paid travel time from home to the job site
Pay And Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
