Field Safety Consultant - OSHA 500 required

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to all Exceed Safety LLC and client’s employees
  • Supervises field safety compliance by ensuring that Exceed Safety LLC and client’s employees are fulfilling labor safety policies
  • Conducts safety classes as well as new hire safety orientations
  • Responsible for all county, states, and federal DOT compliance requirements
  • Enhance job knowledge by participating in educational training sessions
  • Inspect working conditions in manufacturing sites to ensure compliance with occupational safety and health regulations, as well as Exceed Safety LLC and our client’s requirements
  • Perform safety audits, job hazard analysis and incident investigations
  • Advise and assist in the development and implementation of plans, policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure safety programs are aligned with company and site goals
  • Conduct/assist with the incident investigation process to ensure thorough investigations, provide resolutions, and issue reports
  • Collaborate with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues
  • Intervene in unsafe activities or operations

Competencies

  • Basic: High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5 Years experience in Construction and at least 4 years of Management experience
  • OSHA 500
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Share a strong vision for safety

Prefer

  • Affiliate Degree in Occupational, Health & Safety sciences or minimum of 1 year experience in an Environmental, Health and Safety position
  • Technical writing a plus
  • Strong time management, organizational skills, and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to anticipate needs, be resourceful and use sound judgment and tact

Qualifications

  • No supervisory responsibilities
  • Work is conducted in both indoor office settings, and outdoor jobsite settings
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb, type, carry up to 40 lbs, pushing and bending.
  • May be required to occasionally work at heights and in confined space.
  • This is a full-time position with the possibility of varying shifts.
  • Up to $40 per hour depending on experience.
  • Per diem 204.00 per day that is worked.
