About the role
The Field Operations Assistant is responsible for assisting with many aspects of field office operations including administrative, inventory and overall day-to-day operations of the business.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the management of all field office operational processes to include administrative facilities, inventory, and overall day-to-day operations of the business
- Avoids office and warehouse organization and maintenance
- Oversees and provides receipting of inventory, materials and/or services; verifies quantity and accuracy based on orders and/or completion of services; ensures inventory control system information and records are maintained, and inventory is stored in or distributed to proper and safe location
- Maintain all documentation and reference material and supplies as necessary for effective office/clinic operations
- Ensure rigs are “Rig Ready”. Stock with vaccines, prepare lot numbers, organize, clean and load the rigs utilizing the Rig Checklist
- Communicate regularly with the Field Operations Manager and/or Assistant Field Operations Manager to ensure consistency in how operational P&P’s are being executed as it relates to clinic/center operations
- Participate in training initiatives pertaining to field office locations
- Support and participate in weeknight and weekend clinics as well as working on rigs
- Ensure van cleanliness and maintenance
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Safe driving record
- Valid Driver’s License required
- VIP Petcare Pass MVR Check
- Must enjoy and be comfortable working with pets of all sizes and temperaments, including handling and lifting animals as necessary
- Ability to drive motor vehicles in various terrain and weather conditions
- Must be able to work weekends, varied weekdays and times, occasional overnights
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Sit for prolonged periods of time
- Work for prolonged periods of time at a desk utilizing a computer
- Work for prolonged periods of time in the field, including 12-14 hours days on occasion
- Stand/walk/move about for prolonged periods of time while at a clinic
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Present professional appearance and positive conduct
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service
- Critical thinking skills
- Independent judgment and decision-making skills
- Detail oriented, ensuring accurate and reliable work product
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams to direct and lead company initiatives and goals
- Able to work independently
- Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to switch focus rapidly in a fast-paced environment
- Computer Skills - Microsoft Office Time and Attendance/HR Software Scheduling Database iPad
Physical Requirements
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Lift up to 150 pounds assisted; lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
