Field Financial Coordinator
About the role
The Financial Coordinator at BluePearl Pet Hospital is responsible for charge capture and billing activities, ensuring accuracy and alignment with patient treatment records. They also manage payment plans, provide billing updates, and collect accounts receivable. Additionally, they assist in financial audits, support the Client Service Team, and improve revenue collection workflows.
Responsibilities
- Audit records for accuracy and verify charges align with patient treatment records.
- Work with hospital leadership to resolve recurring charge capture issues and educate associates on protocols.
- Manage accounts receivable, billings, and collections, including reporting, discount processing, closing open invoices, and managing third-party relationships.
- Charge capture, discounts, and accounts receivable management for assigned hospitals.
- Audit daily deposit reports and PCI compliance procedures.
- Utilize tools and reports to identify charge capture trends and provide feedback on loss mitigation tactics and organizational charging guidelines.
- Support financial audits as directed by hospital leadership.
- Assist with client financial issues, guiding on communications, pricing, and payment policies.
- Collaborate with hospital teams, field leaders, and support departments to optimize revenue collection workflows.
- Ensure all hospital financial transactions comply with policies and regulations.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
Essential qualifications include:
- Experience in healthcare finance or a related field.
- Strong organizational and fiscal responsibility skills.
- Goal-driven with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a veterinary practice.
- Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Experience with revenue cycle management software.
- Understanding of HIPAA and other relevant healthcare regulations.
