About the role

The Field Application Engineer (FAE) acts as the technical bridge between customers, sales, and product teams for the Renesas 365 platform. You’ll play a pivotal role in demonstrating how Renesas’ digital software ecosystem enables customers to design, simulate, and collaborate more efficiently.

Responsibilities

- Partner with Account Executives to identify customer needs and map them to Renesas 365 solutions. - Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements for EDA/PCB design tools. - Provide deep technical guidance and ROI justification throughout the sales process. - Collaborate with Product Management and R&D teams to relay customer feedback and influence roadmap priorities. - Create and maintain technical documentation, workflows, and training materials for internal and customer use. - Support customer onboarding and ensure smooth handoff to Customer Success and Technical Support teams. - Stay current on Renesas 365 feature releases, competitive products, and industry best practices to deliver credible expertise in every customer interaction. - Represent Renesas at industry events, workshops, and user groups as a trusted technical expert.

Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience in EDA/PCB design, electronic system design, or CAD/CAE application engineering. - Strong knowledge of Altium Designer, Altium 365, or comparable design platforms. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical details into customer value. - Comfortable working in both pre-sales and post-sales environments, collaborating with sales and product teams. - Passion for technology, problem-solving, and delivering exceptional customer outcomes. - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline required; advanced degree a plus.
