Fiberglass Technician - 3rd Shift - Osceola
About the Role
Performs fiberglass operations duties in the production of fiberglass bodies for Altec Osceola Body Plant. Positions are bid roles with the following key distinctions from Technician Assistants:
- Additional PPE required for the entire workday
- Heavy work: 25–50 lbs. regularly, 50+ lbs. occasionally
- Chemical proximity: Styrene, Organic Peroxide, Methyl methacrylate
- Ergonomic challenges: Constant reaching, frequent bending at the waist
- High level of operator maintenance required
- High level of detail required (rework of parts is not possible)
Responsibilities
- Perform fiberglass operations duties in production
- Adhere to safety protocols in all tasks
- Ensure quality checks are performed to prevent errors
- Eligible roles include:
- Gelcoat, Chop & Interior Paint Application Operators
- Rollers
- Glue (Bulkhead, Flatting)
- Cutting (G1, G2)
- Door Closing
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
