Fiber Technician - 3rd Shift

About the role

This role involves maintaining and repairing fiber optic networks to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. As a Fiber Technician I, you will work primarily independently, examining existing fiber infrastructure, connecting new builds for residential and enterprise clients, and troubleshooting fiber impairments in the field.

Responsibilities

• Work with fiber testing, splicing, and maintaining fiber systems
• Utilize hand tools and climb poles when necessary
• Support network integrity and collaborate with peer organizations
• Adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Industry-specific certifications
• At least one year of related work experience
• Technical skills in fiber architectures, systems, and testing equipment
• Ability to work independently and in various weather conditions
• Highly organized

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in electronics
• Basic computer knowledge

Pay

$20.25 to $37.10 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
