Fiberglass Technician-1st shift

Purpose of Position

Performs fiberglass operations duties in the production of fiberglass bodies for Altec Osceola Body Plant. Fiberglass Operations duties will be bid positions.

Major Responsibilities

Work differs from that of Technician Assistants in the following ways:

• Additional PPE requirement for entire work day
• Heavy work range: 25-50 lbs. regularly; 50+ lbs. occasionally
• Chemical proximity: Styrene, Organic Peroxide, Methyl methacrylate
• Ergonomic challenges: Constant reaching, frequent bending at waist
• High level of operator maintenance
• High level of detail required (not able to rework parts)

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

• High School degree or GED
• Jobs Eligible: Application operators (Gelcoat, Chop & Interior Paint), Rollers, Glue (Bulkhead, Flatting), Cutting (G1, G2), Door closing
