Federal Tax Manager - Global Compliance and Reporting - PacNorthwest (Bay Area, Sac, SEA, SLC)
About the role
The role involves managing and implementing tax compliance strategies for clients, providing support in tax compliance and reporting, and developing governance, risk, and compliance frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver processes, solutions, or projects, ensuring quality and risk management.
- Drive continuous process improvement and identify innovative solutions.
- Lead workstream delivery, track project status, and manage engagement economics.
- Participate in client working sessions and lead workstreams from planning through closure.
- Navigate complex tax environments, develop solutions to intricate problems, and recommend changes to policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a graduate degree in Tax or Law.
- No less than 4 - 6 years relevant experience of related tax experience.
- CPA certification or licensed attorney status.
- Demonstrated expertise in tax compliance and accounting for income tax reporting requirements.
- Strong awareness of finance compliance and regulation.
- Understanding of global compliance requirements.
- Experience leading professional employees or supervising others to deliver complex technical initiatives.
- Experience with hybrid collaboration and global teams.

- Drive continuous process improvement and identify innovative solutions for our clients through domestic federal tax advice and guidance tailored to their unique needs.

- Meet performance objectives and metrics set locally, including client service, quality and risk management, sales and business growth, solution development, and teaming.

Pay
$103,600 to $189,900 for the base salary range in all geographic locations in the US. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $124,300 to $215,800.
Schedule
Most people in external, client serving roles are expected to work together in person 60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
