Federal Tax Manager - Global Compliance and Reporting - PacNorthwest (Bay Area, Sac, SEA, SLC)
About the role
The opportunity involves being part of a growing global team, acting as a key point of contact for a wide range of clients and colleagues. This role offers cross-border and cross-functional teaming, with plenty of support designed to align with your personal skills and experience. As a Manager in Tax Compliance, you will manage and implement tax compliance strategies for clients, providing support in tax compliance and reporting, and leading workstream delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver processes, solutions, or projects, ensuring quality and effective risk management.
- Drive continuous process improvement and identify innovative solutions through research and analysis.
- Guide others by applying depth of expertise and interpreting internal/external issues to recommend quality solutions.
- Lead workstream delivery, track project status, and manage engagement economics.
- Navigate complex tax environments, develop solutions to intricate problems, and recommend changes to policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required (4-year degree) in Accounting or a graduate degree in Tax or Law.
- No less than 4 - 6 years relevant experience of related tax experience.
- CPA certification or licensed attorney status.
- Demonstrated expertise in tax compliance and accounting for income tax reporting requirements.
- Strong awareness of finance compliance and regulation.
- Understanding of global compliance requirements.
- Ability to assess tax legislation and its impact.
- Familiarity with outsourcing/co-sourcing models.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
- Understanding of US income tax accounting and tax provisions.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access and data mining tools.
- Ability to build and manage relationships.
- Demonstrated client trust and value.
- Strong communication skills.
- Complex problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.

Pay
The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $103,600 to $189,900. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $124,300 to $215,800. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
Schedule
We expect most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
