Family Resource Center Manager
Position Summary
Provides leadership and directs the operations of multiple Akin Family Resource Center (FRC) locations within an assigned region. Oversees day-to-day operations across two to three sites and is responsible for coordinating staffing, scheduling, and resource distribution to ensure consistent service delivery and coverage across locations. Directly supervises, assists, and supports FRC teams and related administrative functions across multiple sites. Builds and maintains strong community visibility and partnerships across the region through active participation in appropriate provider organizations and funding bodies. Ensures effective and efficient utilization of personnel, fiscal resources, and facilities, and monitors program performance.
Essential Functions
- Promotes service activities and Akin visibility through community activities across the assigned region
- Promotes Akin advocacy and systems change goals in coalitions, advocacy groups, and professional groups, both through direct participation and by supporting employee participation
- Works with the Finance and Accounting team to monitor community and site-level budgets across assigned locations
- Provides on-site leadership, oversight, and operational management across multiple Family Resource Center locations
- Ensures consistent implementation of Akin policies, procedures, and performance standards across all assigned sites
- Maintains regular supervisory meetings with employees to review work assignments, performance, and professional development
- Supports recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of employees across multiple sites
- Maintains a working knowledge of service activities and, in partnership with employees, implements best-practice standards
- Completes annual performance evaluations and supports performance management, coaching, and corrective action as needed

- Demonstrated ability to hire, effectively lead, manage, coach, and discipline employees across multiple locations
- Knowledge and skills in social service or nonprofit management
- Strong human relations and communication skills to work effectively with employees, management, and community partners
- Strong ability to coordinate staffing and resources across sites to support equitable coverage and program needs
- Leadership and direction in managing operations across multiple locations, including prioritizing competing needs and ensuring consistent service delivery
- Skills in community organizing and community liaison work
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and to organize and prioritize responsibilities in a multi-site environment
- Understanding of and experience serving diverse socioeconomic and cultural populations

Minimum Qualifications
- Five years of related experience at the managerial level, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Community-based experience in social service or nonprofit agencies
- Demonstrated supervisory experience reflecting progressive responsibilities in hiring, firing, training, performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary counseling
- Experience overseeing operations, staff, or service delivery across multiple locations or programs
- Experience working directly with children, youth, and family programs
- Experience and training in management, administration, and/or planning
- Experience and skill in community organizing and community liaison work
- Experience providing services to diverse socioeconomic and cultural populations
- Successful completion of a criminal background check
- Successful completion of a driver’s check if the position requires driving on a regular basis (at least three times per week) or driving clients; must not have more than two driving incidents within the last three years

Salary Range And Benefits

As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The target starting pay for this position is $75,442 - $90,522 per year, typically within the first half of this range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant’s pay history into account. The range above allows our employees room for growth during their tenure in the position.
