Family Practitioner/General Practitioner
About the role
This is a full-time primary care clinic position in Princeton, a small town rich in history and natural beauty, situated at the foothills of the Cascade Mountains where the Tulameen and Similkameen Rivers meet. The clinic offers a wide range of services including acute and chronic care, rapid access appointments, chronic disease management, addictions care, and minor procedures. It is supported by Med Access EMR, a full complement of administrative staff, and is conveniently attached to Princeton General Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Provide general practice care including long-term care, inpatient care, emergency care, and clinic work.
- Participate in on-call duties at a 1:4 ratio, covering one weekend every four weeks for ER, inpatients, and long-term care.
Return of Service
A portion of your Return of Service Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) will support PCN and/or Interior Health (IH) facilities and/or services. Family Physicians are strongly encouraged to support IH services such as rural ER, long-term care, opioid agonist therapy (OAT), and maternity care as part of their community practice. Compensation
- Compensation Type: Fee-for-Service
- Estimated Remuneration: $350,000 – $800,000
- Physician Overhead: Approximately $5,000
Benefits and Incentives
- May be eligible for additional remuneration under the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA), including:
- Retention Premium: 15.23%
- Retention Flat Fee: $23,594
- Relocation Funding: Available ($9,000 – $15,000)
- Recruitment Incentive: $20,000
- Supportive colleagues and community with minimal after-hours callback to ER
