About the role
Wells Gray Medical Clinic is seeking three physicians to join its collegial, full-scope practice in Clearwater, BC. The clinic is centrally located in town and only five minutes from the hospital, supported by a dedicated, experienced, and highly connected MOA team. There is strong collaboration between clinic and hospital teams, and an excellent team culture with colleagues who genuinely enjoy working together. The practice uses Med-Access EMR / Meditech Dr. Helmcken Memorial.

Clearwater is a welcoming small town of 2,388 people, set against the majestic mountains of Wells Gray Provincial Park. The area offers breathtaking natural surroundings with deep canyons, volcanic cones, old-growth forests, raging white-water rivers, and abundant outdoor recreation year-round. Dr. Helmcken Memorial Hospital
- 24-hour Level 1 community hospital completed in 2002
- 24-hour Emergency Room with six private acute care beds and six stretcher beds
- Attached 21-bed Long-Term Care Unit
- Inpatient and outpatient services including Laboratory, Electrocardiogram (ECG), Radiology, and Physiotherapy
- Additional services: Home Care, Home Support, Public Health, Environmental Health & Protection, Diabetes and Dietitian Teaching, and Mental Health services through Yellowhead Community Services

Compensation
- Compensation Type: Combination
- Estimated Remuneration: $400,000 – $450,000 (includes rural fee premium)
- Physician Overhead: Shared equally between physicians
Benefits and incentives
- May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA), including:
- Retention Premium: 20.02%
- Retention Flat Fee: $31,025
- Relocation Funding: $9,000 – $15,000 depending on move location
- Recruitment Incentive: $20,000
