Family Partner
About the role
Making Opportunity Count is seeking a full time (37.5 hours per week) Family Partner for our Family Resource Center program. MOC’s mission is to empower families to achieve economic security by eliminating barriers and creating opportunities. To alleviate poverty, we deliver a variety of services including childcare, education, workforce development, nutrition, health, and community and housing support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess the needs and strengths of families requesting support
- Engage and support families using a strength-based approach
- Assist the Clinician and Family Members in identifying strengths and needs for the CANS Assessments
- Asist Family Members in the development of a Family Support Plan
- Co-facilitate (with the Clinician) evidence-based programs and support groups (The Parenting Journey, Active Parenting, and the Parent Café)
- Identify community resources and build collaborative relationships with community agencies
- Engage parents in leadership development activities and the development of mutual support networks
Required Qualifications and Skills
- The ability to work with diverse populations in a community-based setting using a family-centered, strength-based approach
- The ability to work some evenings and weekends
- A High School or GED equivalent with at least three years’ experience in a similar setting
- Strong written and verbal communications skills (bilingual Spanish a plus)
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- A valid MA Driver’s License and reliable vehicle
Physical Requirements
- Occasionally lifting up to 20 lbs
- Ability to sit as a desk and use a computer and telephone

Pay
A salary within the range of $20.43 to $27.64 per hour will be provided to the successful candidate having met the minimum requirements for the position consistent with the MOC compensation philosophy. The candidate’s exact placement will be determined based on factors consistent with MOC’s compensation framework.
