About the role
JRI’s Community Service Agencies are dedicated to providing comprehensive wraparound services for youth under 21 who are diagnosed with a serious emotional disturbance. Services are tailored to meet the needs of youth engaged with various child-serving systems, including child welfare, special education, or juvenile justice.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside Clinicians, Young Adult Peer Mentors, and Therapeutic Support Specialists to support the delivery of strength-based peer-to-peer education, coaching, role modeling, guidance, and support services.
- Utilize caregiving experiences to enhance the lives of youth presenting with difficult and challenging behaviors, and their families.
- Support families in navigating multiple systems of care and enabling parents and caregivers to learn effective advocacy skills.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age.
- A minimum of an Associate Degree in a human services field and one year of experience with the target population is required; alternatively, a high school diploma/GED along with two years of experience in the same field is acceptable.
- Candidates should have personal experience as a parent or caregiver of a youth facing emotional, behavioral, or learning challenges, as well as experience in navigating systems to secure support for their child's needs.
- Background checks and driving checks will be performed.
Qualifications
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to build rapport with youth and families, and experience working with diverse populations.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $19 to $32.50 per hour.
Schedule
Hours are flexible but typically include evenings and weekends.
