Family Partner
About the role
The Family Partner role at JRI’s Community Service Agencies is crucial to our mission of assisting young people. This position requires personal experiences and successful navigation of similar journeys with children, grandchildren, or foster children who have mental health needs.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside caregivers to provide support, demonstrate positive behaviors, and guide them through their journey.
- Offer strength-based peer-to-peer education, coaching, role modeling, guidance, and support services.
- Enhance the lives of youth presenting with difficult and challenging behaviors and their families.
- Navigate multiple systems of care for families and enable parents and caregivers to learn effective advocacy skills.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age.
- A minimum of an Associate degree in a human services field and one year of experience working with the target population is preferred.
- Alternatively, a High School diploma or GED, combined with two years of experience in the same field, is required.
- Must be a parent or legal guardian of a youth facing emotional, behavioral, or learning challenges, and experience in navigating systems to secure support for their child's needs.
- Experience with challenges faced in home, school, or community settings.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $19.00 to $32.50 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications.
Schedule
This is a full-time position. Candidates must be available between Monday and Friday. Attendance at a mandatory staff meeting every Tuesday from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM and attendance for supervision once a week is required.
