About the role
In this role, you will have the opportunity to share your passion for helping others while working with our youth. JRI’s Community Service Agencies deliver comprehensive wraparound services for youth under 21 who are diagnosed with a serious emotional disturbance.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside Clinicians, Young Adult Peer Mentors, and Therapeutic Support Specialists to support the delivery of strength-based peer-to-peer education, coaching, role modeling, guidance, and support services.
- Utilize your caregiving experiences to enhance the lives of youth who are presenting with difficult and challenging behaviors, and their families.
- Support families in navigating multiple systems of care and enable parents and caregivers to learn effective advocacy skills.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age.
- A minimum of an Associate Degree in a human services field and one year of experience with the target population is required; alternatively, a high school diploma/GED along with two years of experience in the same field is acceptable.
- Candidates should have personal experience as a parent or caregiver of a youth facing emotional, behavioral, or learning challenges, as well as experience in navigating systems to secure support for their child's needs.
- Background checks and driving checks will be performed.
Qualifications
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

- Ability to navigate multiple systems of care and provide effective advocacy skills.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $19.00 to $32.50 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications.
Schedule
Full-time schedule is typically 40 hours per week.
