Family Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant

About the Role

Provides comprehensive medical care as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in an urgent care setting, diagnosing, treating, and educating patients of all ages with acute and chronic conditions. Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality service and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Perform medical assessments, treatments, and follow-ups, including primary care, urgent care, occupational health, and DOT physicals.
• Conduct medical procedures such as laceration repairs, injections, splinting, and abscess drainage.
• Oversee on-site lab work, x-rays, and collections, ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
• Provide leadership during emergencies and maintain a comforting environment for patients.
• Participate in policy development, continuing education, and staff training to enhance quality of care.
• Ensure adherence to licensing, certification, and accreditation standards.
• Guide and support medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-year experience as an FNP or PA.
• Active state license as an APRN or PA.
• Current FNP or PA-C Board Certification.
• Current or eligible DEA and DOT certifications.
• Current BLS certification.
