Family Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our Wendover, Utah clinic. This role involves providing autonomous and collaborative care to patients, following established clinical standards and practices to ensure high-quality, efficient healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct patient care, recognizing and documenting changes in psychological, behavioral, and medical status.
• Obtain and document complete medical history and physical examinations.
• Interpret and integrate data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures or specialty referrals.
• Manage medical and surgical needs of patients within the scope of practice and established credentialing agreements.
• Reconcile patient medications and allergies, addressing barriers to compliance.
• Administer medications and injections according to practice protocols.
• Provide patient education on health, illness prevention, medications, and treatment options.
• Maintain and review patient records, charts, and pertinent information in a timely manner.
• Triage patient telephone calls and provide consultation, ensuring continuity of care.
• Participate in after-hours call as required and assist in onboarding care staff.
• Promote patient satisfaction and maintain confidentiality.
• Renew required licenses, complete educational courses, and adhere to all Sacred Circle Healthcare policies and procedures.
• Understand and adhere to prescribing and scope of practice regulations as required by state.
• Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Family Nurse Practitioner

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a clinical setting and/or 2 years of experience as an RN prior to nurse practitioner school.
• Valid DEA number and State Registered Nurse License with prescriptive authority (APRN, APRN-CS).
• Active National Certification (e.g., AANP, ANCC, PNCB).
• BLS Provider/CPR certification.
• Experience working with the Native American community (preferred).

Physician Assistant

• Master’s degree in physician assistant education.
• At least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting as a physician assistant.
• Experience in an acute or emergency care setting (preferred).
• Valid DEA number and state license to practice medicine.
• Active National Certification (PA-C).
• BLS Provider/CPR certification.

Skills

• Knowledge of up-to-date, evidence-based clinical care, including diagnosis, treatment, and procedures.
• Ability to recognize scope limitations and seek assistance from supervising physicians when needed.
• Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for care delivery.
• Ability to prescribe medications and instruct patients on correct usage.
• Familiarity with accreditation and certification requirements.
• Proficiency in using computers, applications, and phone systems, including telehealth.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of existing methods and procedures.
• Effective communication with patients, staff, and the public, including working with interpreters.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Pay

$116,400 - $133,700 yearly salary.

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week. Work schedule to be determined, with availability between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Typically, three 12-hour shifts per week. Additional evening and weekend work may be required.
