Family Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

CareFirst Urgent Care is hiring a full-time Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and/or Physician Assistant. Providers set their own schedules and receive a competitive benefits package with a support team including Medical Assistants, Medical Receptionists, Office Managers, and Collaborating Physicians.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with acute minor medical illness and minor acute exacerbations of chronic illness
• Perform minor office procedures, such as incision and drainage and laceration repair
• Perform wellness physicals, preoperative physicals, work-related physicals (such as DOT, pre-employment), and sports physicals
• Manage patient care in a timely manner while maintaining productivity equivalent to other providers
• Thoroughly and accurately document every patient encounter
• Order diagnostic labs/imaging as needed (point of care tests, x-ray, etc.)
• Obtain DOT Certification within 30 days of employment

Qualifications

• Board Certified APRN (Family Nurse Practitioner) or Physician Assistant
• New graduates and experienced providers welcome to apply

Pay

$95,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Day shift
• 7 - 12 hour shifts per 2-week pay period

CareFirst Urgent Care operates 45 locations and focuses on delivering compassionate, affordable care to improve community health. All mid-level providers are assigned a collaborative physician for clinical support.
