Family Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Providers make their own schedules, receive a competitive benefits package, and have a support staff of Medical Assistants, Medical Receptionists, Office Managers, and Collaborating Physicians.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients with acute minor medical illness and minor acute exacerbations of chronic illness
  • Perform minor office procedures, such as incision and drainage and laceration repair
  • Perform wellness physicals, preoperative physicals, work-related physicals (such as DOT, pre-employment), and sports physicals
  • Manage the patient's care in a timely manner and maintain a level of productivity equivalent to other providers on staff
  • Thoroughly and accurately document every patient encounter
  • Order diagnostic labs/imaging as needed (point of care tests, x-ray, etc.)
  • Obtain DOT Certification within 30 days of employment

Qualifications

  • Board Certified APRN (Family Nurse Practitioner) or Physician Assistant
  • New graduates and experienced providers welcome to apply
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work in conjunction with other CareFirst team members

Pay

$95,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year

Schedule

  • Full-time
  • Day shift
  • 7 - 12 hour shifts per 2-week pay period
