Family Nurse Practitioner - Float

About the Role

The Family Nurse Practitioner-Float provides high-quality healthcare in both clinical and virtual settings, ensuring patient satisfaction and adherence to protocols. This role involves leading clinic staff, reviewing medical histories, performing diagnostics, prescribing medications, and developing treatment plans. The provider must respond swiftly to patient conditions, maintain accurate documentation, and comply with regulatory standards such as HIPAA. Adaptability to new technologies, efficiency in fast-paced environments, and support for team development—including onboarding and training new employees—are essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care via in-clinic and telehealth, meeting patient volume targets.
• Lead and guide clinic staff to ensure excellent patient service.
• Conduct patient assessments, review histories, and formulate diagnoses.
• Order, interpret diagnostics, prescribe medications, and educate patients.
• Implement protocols, comply with regulations, and participate in meetings and training.
• Support team communication, foster a positive environment, and promote continuous improvement.
• Assist with onboarding and training staff, uphold confidentiality, and maintain professional credibility.
• Perform duties within standard NP protocols, including occasional on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN).
• 1-2 years of relevant clinical experience, such as urgent care or family practice.
• Active license and DEA registration; DOT certification within 120 days.
• Ability to treat all ages, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and communicate effectively via virtual channels.

Skills

• Preferred experience in telehealth.
• Competency in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
