About the role

Hancock County Health System- Garner Clinic is a busy outpatient practice with immediate volume. It serves newborns to end-of-life patients, excluding obstetrics (which can be shared care). The practice does not require call duty.

Shift Description

The clinic offers a variety of services including general surgery, cataract surgery, vein procedures, cardiology, ENT, nephrology, OB Shared Care, ophthalmology, orthopedics, neurology, pain management, plastics, podiatry, skin cancer screening, pain, dermatology, and weight management. Specialties include lab, x-ray, ultrasound, echo, pain management, OP geriatric psych, behavioral health therapy, sleep, MRI, CT, mammography, surgery, nuclear medicine, PT, RT, OT, ST, and ER services. The facility also includes a 25-bed critical access hospital and primary care clinic serving 12,000 residents of Hancock County and the surrounding area.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school
  • Completed an appropriate residency program and is board certified or board eligible
  • Obtained Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa medical staff privileges
  • Above average communication skills
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license, Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate, and Federal DEA Certificate
