Family Medicine Faculty Physician
About the role
You will work alongside a committed, all-certified provider/faculty team of seven, engage in a hands-on approach to teaching within our unopposed, fully accredited residency program, which includes Osteopathic Recognition, and oversee residents in both outpatient and inpatient settings, with optional OB involvement. You will have 30% administrative time dedicated to teaching, resident supervision, curriculum development, scholarly activities, and hospital committee work.

Requirements
The position requires a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree, MD degree, or equivalent license to practice medicine in the state of Michigan. A current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Michigan is also required. Additionally, candidates must have completed an accredited family medicine residency program and be eligible for board certification in family medicine.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents
- Experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings
- Experience in obstetrics and gynecology (OB)
Skills
Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential. Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems is also required.
