Family Medicine DNP - Locum Tenens Coverage

About the role

This position is for a licensed physician specializing in primary care within a correctional facility setting. The clinician will provide comprehensive adult outpatient care, managing chronic conditions and treating acute illnesses in a secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations and manage approximately 18-20 patients daily
• Maintain accurate documentation of clinical encounters
• Collaborate with support staff including RNs and LPNs
• Provide prescriptive authority for medications and treatments

Qualifications

• Board certification in relevant specialty
• Virginia medical license and DEA registration
• Experience in primary care and correctional healthcare preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no call coverage required. Support from nursing staff is provided in an on-site setting.
