Family Medicine – (51362) - California

Seeking a Family Medicine physician in California’s Central Valley.

Responsibilities

• Deliver primary care to patients and order follow-up care.
• Diagnose, treat, record, refer, and review care within ambulatory and hospital settings.
• Chart documentation according to clinic standards using SOAP charting, specific forms, referrals, and ordering specific tests.
• Document acute and chronic problems with medication.
• Review laboratory, x-ray, and referral documents prior to filing.
• Prepare, supervise, and implement treatment plans; review developed plans.
• Refer to approved medical protocols and/or guidelines for treatment.
• Assist in coordinating and reviewing referrals.
• Supervise health center mid-level practitioners, including consultations and chart reviews.
• Participate in on-call schedules.
• Provide phone triage on a rotational basis approximately once every 3-5 months on weekends or during evening hours.

Requirements

• Valid California Physician License.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Skills

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Interest in and willingness to promote individual acute, chronic, and preventable care programs and concepts.
• Ability to establish genuine, positive interactions with patients and staff.
• Agrees with and upholds the mission of the health center with patients and staff.
• Outpatient experience.
