Family Medicine – (60996) - California

Fresno, CA – 8 openings for a Family Medicine Physician (all ages, birth to geriatric) in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting. Multiple locations, including Visalia and other rural clinics around Fresno, with services such as medical, dental, behavioral health, optometry, chiropractic, podiatry, X-ray, and lab.

About the Role

The group operates 30 clinic sites in and around Fresno, with the furthest location about one hour away. Most physicians reside in Fresno or Visalia. The organization expects over 1 million patient visits this year and continues to grow, offering free transportation to patients in need.

Physicians typically see 20–24 patients per day, supported by a full team to maximize patient flow. Each physician is assigned 2 medical assistants and 1 receptionist, along with 3 exam rooms. Many MAs are bilingual (Spanish-speaking). The group uses Athena EMR and has an in-house referral center handling pre-authorizations, scheduling, and follow-ups.

On-site X-ray and lab services provide fast results. The group also has an experienced call center to triage phone calls, minimizing physician interruptions. Physicians are on telephone call only one week per year (7–10 calls expected) and are compensated for this duty. No in-person call is required.

• Negotiable base salary of $275,000 guaranteed, with monthly incentive bonuses based on patient volumes.

Schedule

• Standard clinic hours: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, 8-hour workday.

Qualifications & Opportunities

• J-1 visa (via HHS waiver program) and H1-B visa (cap-exempt) holders encouraged to apply.
• Teaching interest is a plus, with opportunities to engage in the group’s accredited Family Medicine residency program, PA program, and NP training program (launched in late 2022).
• In-house specialists available for referrals, including orthopedics, neurology, cardiology, ophthalmology, sports medicine, OB/GYN, pediatrics, nephrology, and vascular.
