Family Engagement Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a Family Engagement Assistant to join our team at Easterseals Vermont. Our work is challenging, but we strive to create strong teams and love to learn and laugh together!

Responsibilities

• Transporting children and parents to needed services
• Providing supported contact for children and parents within office and community settings
• Allowing separated families to have safe and productive time with each other
• Calling family members when youth come into DCF custody, to assist in the development of a support network for those youth and their families

Requirements

• A High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check and fingerprinting
• Your own reliable vehicle with insurance that meets our coverage limits

Qualifications

• Average age of 18 years old
• An Associate’s Degree and experience in Human Services is preferred, but not required

Skills

• Excellent communication skills (phone and in-person)
• Ability to document work completed
• Strong team player

Benefits

• Per diem position
• Hours based on the needs of the program

Pay

• $18 hourly
• Additional compensation based upon experience
