Family Engagement Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a Family Engagement Assistant to join our mission-driven team at Easterseals Vermont. The ideal candidate will help facilitate reunions between separated families and provide support to youth in DCF custody.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and parents to necessary services
• Provide supported contact for children and parents in office and community settings
• Call family members when youth come into DCF custody to develop a support network
• Work closely with Department of Children and Families - Family Services Division while maintaining our own offices

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check and fingerprinting
• Own reliable vehicle with insurance meeting our coverage limits

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Human Services preferred, but not required
• Experience in Human Services preferred, but not required

Skills

• Excellent communication skills (phone and in-person)
• Ability to document work completed
• Strong team player

Pay

$18 hourly, with additional compensation based upon experience.

Schedule

This is a Full-Time, Monday-Friday role, 8am-5pm.
