Family Engagement Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a Family Engagement Assistant to join our team! Our work is challenging, but we strive to create strong teams and love to learn and laugh together.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and parents to needed services
• Provide supported contact for children and parents within office and community settings, to allow separated families to have safe and productive time with each other
• Call family members when youth come into DCF custody, to assist in the development of a support network for those youth and their families

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum age of 18 years old
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check and fingerprinting
• Your own reliable vehicle with insurance that meets our coverage limits

Preferred qualifications

• Associate's Degree and experience in Human Services

Skills

• Excellent communication skills (phone and in-person)
• Ability to document work completed
• Strong team player

Schedule

This is a full-time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm position. This is a 40 hour/week role, but we can consider candidates interested in a 30 hour/week schedule.

Pay

$18 - $19 hourly, based upon experience.
