About the role

We are seeking a Family Engagement Assistant to join our mission-driven team at Easterseals Vermont. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting families and working in a supportive, family-friendly environment.

Responsibilities

  • Transport children and parents to needed services
  • Provide supported contact for children and parents within office and community settings
  • Call family members when youth come into DCF custody to assist in the development of a support network

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check and fingerprinting
  • Own reliable vehicle with insurance meeting our coverage limits

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Human Services preferred, but not required
  • Experience in Human Services preferred, but not required

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills (phone and in-person)
  • Ability to document work completed
  • Strong team player

Pay

$18 hourly, with additional compensation based upon experience.

Schedule

This is a full-time position, 30-40 hours per week. Part-time positions are considered.
