Family Engagement Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a Family Engagement Assistant to join our team at Easterseals Vermont. Our work is challenging but we strive to create strong teams and love to learn and laugh together!

Responsibilities

• Transporting children and parents to needed services
• Providing supported contact for children and parents within office and community settings
• Assisting separated families in having safe and productive time together
• Calling family members when youth come into DCF custody to assist in the development of a support network

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check and fingerprinting
• Own reliable vehicle with insurance meeting our coverage limits

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree and experience in Human Services preferred, but not required

Skills

• Excellent communication skills (phone and in-person)
• Ability to document work completed
• Strong team player

Pay

$18 hourly, with additional compensation based upon experience.

Schedule

This is a full-time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm position. This is a 40 hour/week role, but we can consider candidates interested in a 30 hour/week schedule.
