Family and Community Medicine Faculty Physician

About the role

The Penn State Health Family and Community Medicine Residency Program at St. Joseph Medical Center seeks a full-time BC/BE academic faculty physician. This position provides direct patient care, educates and trains residents and medical students, and participates in the STFM Residency Faculty Fundamentals Certificate Program and Behavioral Science/Family Systems Educator Fellowship.

Responsibilities

• Provide time-sensitive acute and chronic primary care that is comprehensive, compassionate, coordinated, and high-quality.
• Train residents and medical students in a safe, cost-effective environment that is patient-centered for the entire community.
• Participate in resident and medical student education.

Requirements

• Medical degree - M.D., D.O. or foreign equivalent.
• Unrestricted PA medical license.
• Completion of an accredited Family Medicine Residency training program.
• Board certification/eligibility in Family Medicine.
• Experience in an academic setting preferred.
