Faculty Position - Open Rank, Bioethics/Healthcare Ethics
Position Summary
The role is envisioned as a position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level with an appointment in the School of Medicine and/or another School and Department relevant to the candidates experience and expertise. The salary range is $90K to $100K, with actual salary dependent on past work experience. The successful candidate will work full time with the bioethics and non-bioethics faculty in the Center for Ethics.
Responsibilities
- Teaching ethics and bioethical issues in an integrated curriculum in the School of Medicine
- Teaching core and elective courses in the Master of Arts (MA) in Bioethics
- Advising and mentoring MA in Bioethics graduate students and thesis/capstone projects
- Pursuing independent and collaborative scholarship
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience and comfort in working in both in person and online settings
- Commitment to collaboration with colleagues at the Center for Ethics, across the university and in the community
Preferred Qualifications
- Terminal post-graduate degree (PhD, JD, MD, etc.) in a field related to bioethics
- Demonstrated success in teaching and mentoring healthcare professionals and/or graduate students
- Record of quality scholarship in bioethics

Note: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA.
